Monday – 2 Chronicles, Chapter 3
1.Solomon, David's son, prepares to begin to build the Temple. Solomon's temple had earthly mediating priests (1 Ch. 24) The Church (the Temple of Christ) has a heavenly High Priest to whom all believers can draw near for eternal salvation. See Heb. 2:17; 7:25. Have you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If not, call upon Him now, confess that you are a sinner and ask for forgiveness. Ask Jesus to come into your life right now as your personal Lord and Savior. If you have done this, tell someone, preferably an Elder or Pastor in church. We will pray with you and rejoice with you!
Tuesday - 2 Chronicles , Chapter 4
1.The reason the Old Testament pays so much attention to the Temple is because of its importance in maintaining Israel's true faith and their relationship with God. Today the Holy Spirit lives in the church, the individual believer. God would not tolerate any defilement of His Temple, and will not now, as the Holy Spirit lives within us, the Temple. That is why Paul warned against any defilement of the human body by immorality or impurity. Today, if there is any sin in our life that we are aware of, let us ask for forgiveness.
Wednesday, 2 Chronicles, Chapter 5
1.When the work was finished, the Ark was brought to the Temple. There was a huge celebration; trumpeters and singers, joined with one voice to praise the Lord. Can we only imagine this? Could we ever celebrate God in such a magnificent way? We have so much to be thankful for! Let's do it!
Thursday, 2 Chronicles, Chapter 6
1.Solomon's Prayer of Dedication is beautiful and powerful. Can we only realize the magnificence of this moment of prayer? Such love and trust for the Living God! Let us examine our heart for Him today.
Friday - 2 Chronicles, Chapter 7
1.The Glory of the Lord fills the Temple! What does God say in response? Meditate upon it.
Saturday - 2 Chronicles, Chapter 8
1.Solomon's marriage to Pharaoh's daughter was contrary to God's Law. By not submitting to God's command, he failed to submit every area of his life. This resulted in his ruin. Satan only needs one area to gain foothold and lead someone away from God. Let us be careful to stay in His Word and in His will. Let us ask God to show us if there is anything in our life that displeases Him. If so, let us make changes.
