Acts 2:46 “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house….” This is the biblical model of Gateway City’s Connection Groups. Bible study, worship, fellowship, prayer and caring for the needs of people are the mission. Everyone who attends Gateway City Church is encouraged to participate in a Connection Group, which meets twice monthly. The atmosphere is warm, casual and intimate and is a real faith-builder. Specific topics are selected to strengthen each ones walk with the Lord and develop Kingdom understanding and deeper revelation for the times in which live. The heartbeat of the Connection Groups is found in the Message Bible, as preached by Pastor McPhail, “The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood.” John 1:14. At the end of each topical session, Connection Groups then go into the neighborhood, bringing the light and love of Jesus to nursing homes, hospitals, rehabs and the streets, thus establishing an important Kingdom principle, that of bringing justice to injustice.
